About ISREAC/UBA Cell

Knowledge is power and has been a significant criterion in the growth and development of society. Learning and acquiring knowledge is a continuous process, and this is possible through active collaboration between people, educational institutions, and industry. At the heart of all our social initiatives is the key agenda of social responsibility and sensitisation of students and staff. We are unwavering in our commitment to being a socially responsible educational institute. Our goal is to understand and analyse what we learn at every level and its relevance to our future. In our college, we have embedded this process in various activities and channels, and the results have been overwhelmingly positive.

The Institutional Social Responsibility & Extension Activities Cell (ISREAC)/Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell (UBA Cell) is one of the important initiatives of St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur, for students under the guidance of the management and faculty of our college. Through ISREAC, we wish to promote the concept of enhanced learning to various departments of our college. As an institution, we believe that our role involves something more than simply imparting knowledge and skills to the students. As an active agent of social change, we aim to undertake the challenge of creating socially responsible global citizens. This initiative is not just a part of our college, but it is a part of each of you, as students, faculty, and management. Students enter college at a crucial juncture of their lives wherein they embark upon a journey of self-discovery and lifelong goal setting. This cell ensures a student’s holistic development through community service. The endeavour of ISREAC/UBA Cell would be to make a difference that can, in the future, bring about a greater change in society.

The ISREAC/UBA Cell will provide a platform for our students to explore and pursue their passion, through which they can positively impact the society in which we live. The focus will be to enable the students to understand that the contribution of the community is far greater in their lives than their own contribution to the community. In the process, students can discover their individuality, i.e., create their own identity while remaining humble.

ISREAC/UBA Cell will focus on developing the network with the community through the National Service Scheme (NSS) activities, All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) activities, faculty expertise, MOUs, and other social activities. The students are provided with first-hand experience of society and its problems. They are sensitized to these problems so that they will become responsible citizens and serve society. The learners’ emotional, intellectual, and social faculties are developed through these extension activities. The guidelines of ISREAC/UBA Cell closely follow the UGC – National Circular Framework and Guidelines for “Fostering Social Responsibility & Community Engagement in Higher Education Institutions in India” and the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Rajasthan.
