St. Xavier College’s Department of Science Spearheads ‘Lab to Land’
Today, on the 16th of December, 2023, a transformative event unfolded as St. Xavier College’s Department of Science, in partnership with UBA CELL, orchestrated an enlightening expedition to the Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute situated in Durgapura. With a robust turnout of 75 participants, including esteemed faculty members, this visit exemplified a concerted effort to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application. The visionary behind this initiative, Principal Professor Xavier SJ, steered the excursion towards a fruitful engagement with the agricultural realm.
Students were imbued with enthusiasm as they delved into the depths of the entomology museum, traversed agriculture fields, and explored the intricate nuances within the nursery. This immersive experience served as a reservoir of knowledge, providing invaluable insights into diverse farming systems. The pulsating heart of this expedition was the inclusion of village residents from UBA, accentuating the community-centric approach of the visit.
