The Red Ribbon Club is a voluntary on-campus programme for students in educational institutions. It aims to spread information on HIV/AIDS prevention, care, support, and treatment while working to eliminate the associated stigma. At St. Xavier’s College Jaipur, the programme is initiated and supported by the Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society (RSACS). Additionally, the club focuses on building students’ capacities as peer educators to promote positive health behaviours and increase voluntary blood donation among youth.
To fulfil its objectives, the Red Ribbon Club organises various activities throughout the year, including orientation programme and blood donation drives. The club also commemorates events like World Blood Donor’s Day, International and National Youth Day, and World AIDS Day.
