Economics Society (Ecosoc SXCJ), Department of Economics, in collaboration with Xavier’s Civil Services Society, St. Xavier’s College, organized Alumni Interactive Session-I on October 16, 2023. For the first alumni interactive session, Ms. Vedika Bihani, IPS, 2023, was invited. She is a voracious reader and explorer and an alumna of the Department of Economics from the 2019 Batch.
The session commenced with a welcome to the alumna, and following the welcome, Ms. Vedika shared her experiences with the students. She emphasized her life during preparation, detailing the challenges she faced and how she overcame them.
After the introduction, the question-and-answer round began, during which students from various departments asked multiple questions about her preparation and the points to keep in mind while preparing for competitive exams. Ms. Vedika emphasized the importance of managing time, planning preparation effectively, and always having a plan B in mind. She encouraged students to have faith in themselves and give their all during exams.
A total of around 85 participants from various departments joined the session, actively engaging with Ms. Vedika and asking questions. At the end of the session, Prof. Fr. S Xavier SJ provided concluding remarks, expressing his happiness at Ms. Vedika’s presence on campus and appreciating the wisdom she shared with the students of the department. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Aanya Sharma, President of EcoSoc.
