Inventory and Record of Floral Diversity on Campus by the Department of Science

St. Xavier’s College Jaipur boasts a vibrant green campus, where the beauty of nature thrives alongside academic pursuits. Our commitment to environmental stewardship is reflected in the extensive array of lush green plants that enhance the campus ambiance and promote biodiversity.

The Department of Science has been instrumental in spearheading ongoing plant awareness initiatives, educating our community about the importance of greenery in fostering a healthy and sustainable environment. Our campus features an impressive 3,640 floral specimens representing 122 different plant species, all contributing to holistic well-being and promoting sustainability.

In addition to maintaining a verdant landscape, we actively engage in various plant care and cultivation activities. These include tree planting drives and organic farming initiatives, encouraging hands-on involvement in nurturing and preserving our natural surroundings. By fostering a culture of appreciation and stewardship for plants, St. Xavier’s College Jaipur is committed to cultivating a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come.
