As the academic year progressed, the Computer Science Department at St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur, successfully hosted their eagerly anticipated annual Departmental Fest, “Technoid,” on October 7, 2023. This year, “Technoid” embraced the theme of “From the 90s to Futuristic Fun.” The event provided attendees with a nostalgic journey back to the 90s while offering a glimpse into the future, featuring a wide range of activities and entertainment for students and tech enthusiasts. We had 477 participants in Technoid and over 450+ registrations, which makes it a huge success. It proved to be a unique event that combined the past and future in a tech-infused spectacle. This time the fest had 10 events to add integrity and educational norm to the audience. The opening ceremony commenced at 9:15 AM in the college auditorium. It began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome and an electrifying dance performance. Following that, the college principal addressed the assembled audience. On this significant day, another exciting event was on the agenda: the investiture ceremony for the members of the department’s Tech-X council.Moving forward, there was a talk show discussing the Impact of Technology on the Career of Youth, with special guests Arvind Sharma and Prateek Agarwal. After this insightful talk show, the department’s magazine, “X-Techzine,” was unveiled.Following that, there was a Career Development Session conducted by REDHAT. Gaming enthusiasts, both old school and contemporary, enjoyed LAN gaming and a throwback to retro games that transported players to a simpler gaming era. Adventurous spirits put their detective skills to treasure hunt that promised hidden surprises.Coding enthusiasts participated in an exciting code-smashing challenge.The fashion show, “Techwalk,” proved to be a dazzling display of creativity, where fashion met technology. Following the completion of all scheduled activities, we proceeded to the event’s closing ceremony.In the closing ceremony, we had the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the winners and second-place finishers in each competition.
