The Economic Lecture Series I on the theme “Financial Literacy: The Catalyst for Emerging India” was organized by the Economics Society (EcoSoc), Department of Economics, St. Xavier’s College Jaipur, on 26 September 2025 at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Conference Room in offline mode. The program was coordinated by Mr. Baldev Singh and Ms. Akshita Bhatia and attended by students and faculty members of the Department of Economics. The session was delivered by Dr. Kshipra Jain, Assistant Professor at the University of Rajasthan.

The lecture aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of financial literacy and its role in economic development. Dr. Jain discussed essential aspects of personal finance, including budgeting, saving, investing, and credit management, while highlighting the importance of financial awareness for responsible decision-making. The interactive session encouraged active participation and discussion among students. Overall, the lecture proved to be informative and enriching, equipping participants with practical financial knowledge and motivating them to adopt responsible financial practices.
